Welcome to CoachConnect. By accessing or using our website at coachsmartconnect.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, booking a session, submitting a coach profile, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

CoachConnect is an online directory platform that connects clients with life coaches. Our services include:

• A searchable directory of verified life coaches
• Coach profile listings with specialties, qualifications, and reviews
• A coaching matching quiz to help clients find suitable coaches
• Session booking facilitation between clients and coaches
• Client review and rating system
• City-based coach browsing

CoachConnect is a platform that facilitates connections between coaches and clients. We are not a coaching provider, employer, or agent of any coach listed on the Platform.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period. You may deactivate your account at any time by contacting us.

4. Coach Listings

For Coaches

If you register as a coach on the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

• All information in your profile is accurate and truthful
• You hold the certifications, qualifications, and experience you claim
• You are legally permitted to provide coaching services in your jurisdiction
• You will maintain appropriate professional standards and ethics
• You will respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Coach profiles are subject to approval by CoachConnect. We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or remove any listing at our sole discretion.

For Clients

Coach profiles, reviews, and ratings are provided for informational purposes. While we verify coach credentials to the best of our ability, we do not guarantee the accuracy of any information provided by coaches. Clients are responsible for evaluating coaches and making their own decisions about engagement.

5. Bookings and Payments

• Bookings made through the Platform are agreements between the client and coach.
• CoachConnect facilitates the booking process but is not a party to the coaching agreement.
• Payment terms, cancellation policies, and refunds are determined by individual coaches unless otherwise stated.
• Clients should confirm all session details (date, time, format) directly with their coach.
• Session pricing displayed on the Platform is set by coaches and may change without notice.

6. Reviews and Content

User-Generated Content

By submitting reviews, ratings, or other content to the Platform, you:

• Grant CoachConnect a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform
• Confirm that your content is based on genuine experience
• Agree not to submit false, misleading, defamatory, or inappropriate content
• Understand that reviews are subject to moderation and may be removed if they violate our guidelines

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any user-generated content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so at our discretion.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Submit false or misleading information
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without permission
• Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Post malicious code, viruses, or harmful content

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, trademarks, and software on the Platform are the property of CoachConnect or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the quality, safety, or legality of coaching services provided by coaches listed on the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoachConnect and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any coaching services obtained through the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to CoachConnect in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CoachConnect and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., video conferencing, payment processors, scheduling tools). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. CoachConnect is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
